The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) has unveiled its bold vision for Singapore’s future cityscape, focusing on sustainable growth, urban resilience, and community well-being over the next 10–15 years.
Released on 25 June 2025, this plan reflects insights from nearly 220,000 people. This is the largest public engagement exercise in URA’s history. Below is an outline detailing the key themes and initiatives shaping Singapore’s transformation by 2035.
The planning horizon is set for the next 10 to 15 years. Over 220,000 participants have engaged in this effort, making it URA’s most extensive outreach initiative.
Four key themes are guiding the planning process: shaping a happy, healthy city; enabling sustainable growth; strengthening urban resilience; and stewarding nature and heritage.
Every household will be within a 10-minute walk to a park. New integrated community hubs will be established in Woodlands, Yio Chu Kang, and Sengkang.
There will be six new Sport-In-Precinct (SIP) sites located in Choa Chu Kang, Keat Hong, Ulu Pandan, Whampoa, Tampines North, and Pasir Ris East.
Examples of MRT viaduct and rooftop activation include the Bukit Gombak viaduct and the rooftop SIP at 19A Dover Crescent.
By the 2030s, 80% of households will be within a 10-minute walk to an MRT station. The cycling network will expand to 1,300 km by 2030. A new pedestrian bridge will connect Marina Centre to Bay East Garden by 2029.

Digital environmental modeling tools will simulate wind and heat for climate-sensitive design. On Long Island (East Coast), coastal protection measures will be combined with new land and recreational areas.
For underground development, a deep cavern for construction material storage will be established at Gali Batu. There will also be exploration of additional deep caverns for future use.
The main exhibition will be held at URA Centre, Maxwell Road, from 25 June to 29 November 2025. An islandwide roadshow will engage communities across 14 locations, including NLB, Tampines Hub, and Jurong Point. The Dream Lab will feature an interactive AI-powered exhibit that allows the public to design future spaces.
The deadline for public feedback is 23 July 2025, to be submitted to the Permanent Secretary (MND).
