There is no single best travel card in Singapore for September 2026. If you want zero foreign transaction fees, Trust Freedom, Mari and UOB EVOL are the ones to compare. If you chase miles, UOB PRVI Miles and HSBC TravelOne earn almost twice as many per dollar overseas, but you pay around 3.25% in fees for the privilege. For cash, none of them beats a multi-currency wallet.

## What are the best travel cards in Singapore right now?

Eleven options, side by side. Rates are as published on each provider's site as at 28 September 2026.

Notice that every no-fee card's headline overseas rate is a promotion ending on 31 December 2026, while every miles card charges a fee that quietly eats into what you earn.

## Which no-FX-fee card earns the most overseas?

Trust Freedom, renamed from the Trust Cashback Card, lets you pick one of four reward modes each quarter, and a Miles mode joined the menu on 21 September 2026. Here is how the no-fee cards compare on S$2,000 of overseas card spend:

| Trust Freedom, Unlimited Cashback | S$10 | Cash | Just 0.5% overseas |
| Mari Credit Card | S$22.50 (cap hit at S$1,500) | Cash, no minimum spend | 1.5% only on the first S$1,500 a month |
| UOB EVOL | S$20 | Cash, no cap | 0.5% in China and Europe; 1% fee if a merchant bills you in SGD |

Trust wins this table on paper, but only if you are happy being paid in shares. Stockback is an investment, not a discount, so treat it like any other holding rather than a number to check daily; TFC's piece on [how often you should check your investment portfolio](https://www.thefinancialcoconut.com/blog/how-often-check-investment-portfolio) is worth a read here. For plain cash, Mari is the simpler card on short trips and EVOL has no monthly cap.

## Are miles cards still worth the 3.25% FX fee?

The honest answer is: only if you spend enough overseas and redeem well. On the same S$2,000 abroad:

| Trust Freedom, Miles | 2,600 | S$0 | 0 cents |

Break-even is simple arithmetic: the value per mile you would need to get from a redemption just to cover the fee. Miles cards can clear that bar on business-class redemptions, but not on every economy seat, and the gap between 2,600 free miles and 4,800 fee-paying miles is smaller than it looks.

The miles cards do bring benefits Trust cannot match: lounge visits, travel insurance, and boosted rates on hotel bookings (up to 8 mpd on Agoda and Expedia with UOB PRVI Miles, 10 miles per dollar on Kaligo with Citi). Citi Miles, DBS Points and 90°N Miles also never expire, while UOB's expire two years after the quarter they are earned. HSBC charges no fee to transfer points to its 20-plus partners, the only bank card here that does.

## What about cash withdrawals overseas?

This is where Trust falls down. From 1 February 2026, an overseas ATM withdrawal on a Trust card is a cash advance: an 8% fee, plus interest from the posting date at a personalised 18.9% to 29.9% a year. Withdrawing the equivalent of S$300 in yen costs S$24 before interest.

Local ATM operators may add their own charge on top. For cash, a prepaid wallet is the cheaper tool by a wide margin, and YouTrip also lets you lock in rates for 12 currencies before you fly.

## Which welcome offers are worth chasing right now?

Most Singapore banks are running sign-up campaigns into October, and three end on 30 September.

Trust's 100,000-mile headline is only for those who can put S$15,000 through the card in a month.

For most people, Citi's 30,000 miles on S$800 of spend is the more realistic haul, and DBS lets you skip the miles altogether for luggage.

## So which travel card should you pack?

- Casual traveller, one or two trips a year: Mari or Trust Freedom on Unlimited Cashback, and a YouTrip for cash
- Comfortable holding US shares: Trust Freedom on Stockback until 31 December, then reassess
- Flying often, redeeming business class: UOB PRVI Miles or HSBC TravelOne, and accept the fee
- Want miles that never expire: Citi PremierMiles or DBS Altitude
- Cash-heavy destinations: YouTrip first, Revolut second, never a credit card at the ATM

Trust Freedom is the most flexible no-fee card in Singapore right now, but it is not the best card for everyone. Miles cards out-earn it for heavy overseas spenders, cashback cards beat it for simplicity, and wallets beat it for cash.
